In a world where modern day life is so dependent on science and technology, it’s important to have a resource that empowers people with a literacy and understanding of the world around them. ipsoFactory is a new media resource that communicates the latest scientific and technological advancements through video, audio and written content.
Focusing on the discoveries that will have an immediate impact on the average person’s life, ipsoFactory is the reliable resource that gets its information straight from the inventors, engineers and research groups that are responsible for a discovery.
Video content will be delivered to users in a 2-10 minute video format, also accessible via YouTube. We plan to expand our reach with a podcast, blog, and through social media interaction.
We take the carefree style of No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain and add the factual approach of Quirks & Quarks.
Whether we’re interviewing a recent TED Talk speaker or an established leader within the scientific community, our content is largely guided by our users. We’re asking the questions that the public wants answers to, provided they are relevant and not widely regarded as resolved or conspiratorial in nature.
ipsoFactory targets a 15-35 audience, with emphasis on communicating science to both audio/visual and kinesthetic learners. One way we plan to tackle this challenge is to super-impose animation, which would visually represent the explanation of the expert.
The ipsoFactory audience can expect the following:
- One-on-one candid interviews with inventors, engineers and scientists.
- Filmed conferences, lectures and debates.
- References to peer-reviewed journals, texts and transcripts.
ipsoFactory takes its name from “ipso facto” |ˈipsō ˈfaktō|, an adverb which means; by that very fact or act.
Think of us as a factory which gives you the facts, which will allow you to understand your world a little better.
