A while back I answered an ad on Craigslist looking for members to form a Radiohead cover band. I responded with a drawn out email saying how I was Radiohead’s BIGGEST fan; “I’ve seen them front-row-centre three times, I have all the b-sides and rarities…” blah blah blah. I don’t think I even mentioned that I played an instrument. The drummer who put the ad up had also found a bass player and another guitarist so I got to fill role of singing, playing guitar and piano. We met up for a beer, decided on calling ourselves “The Bends” (after the Radiohead album) and within not too long we began rehearsing and soon found the support of a local promotions company who started booking us gigs. We went on for about a year, building a loyal fanbase of fellow Radiohead enthusiasts before we decided to move onto other things. Before we split we decided to record some live tracks from our rehearsal space. Here they are ^.
