Nash: The Documentary premieres @ VIFF

The first 4 minutes and the last 8 minutes of music in ‘Nash: The Documentary’ (premiering at the Vancouver International Film Festival this 11th of October) was composed by yours truly. My friend Corey Ogilvie co-directed the film, which follows Phoenix Suns basketball player Steve Nash around the world. It’s a great expose into the world of professional sports through the perspective of Nash. It’s an extremely well made film and contains many high profile interviews with people who know Steve Nash the best. The score is comprised of two songs that we’ll be included on my next album, ‘The Demon-haunted World’. So if you want to get on idea for what’s on the horizon for Theves, come watch Nash: The Documentary @ the Vancouver International Film Festival.

Bravo!FACT Film “Float” Completed

Juan Riedinger, Shawn Angelski and myself just wrapped and edited our six-minute 35mm short film “Float” that was commissioned by the Bravo!FACT film grant programme. We are all extremely pleased with how it turned out and look forward to seeing it air on the Bravo! network. The cast and crew’s talent and diligence really showed in the final product. We were so fortunate to have our two leads Nancy Sivak and Ben Ratner bring their immense talent and professionalism to this film. Their compelling performances are sure to resonate with the audience. Of course, I will post with any further news.

I’ll be on Sanctuary

I just got the word from my agent that I will be appearing in episode 318 of Sanctuary, which airs on the Scifi network. I’m thrilled to be working alongside some of my very good friends who work on the show. I don’t want to say much more than that as I know how much this industry likes its secrets.

This is what art is all about.

This video was created by designer J Tyler Helms for the song ‘My Body Is a Cage’ by Arcade Fire. I love this video, I love everything about it. Bringing two seemingly unrelated pieces together to make a coherent whole that is greater than the sum of its parts.
